A Development
Partnership.
Hiring is slow, agencies are expensive, and freelancers disappear. This is the senior alternative: one engineer, one flat monthly fee, no hourly billing.
You get ongoing development from someone with 25 years of experience who learns your codebase, gives you straight answers, and ships steadily every week. It's closer to having a senior partner on your team than hiring a contractor for a one-off job.
Hiring is slow. Agencies are expensive.
Freelancers come and go.
A full-time senior developer costs $12,000–18,000 a month, takes months to hire, and may be more than you need. An agency marks up a junior's time and rotates who's on your account. A cheap freelancer disappears when something better comes along, and leaves you with code nobody can maintain.
This sits in between. You get senior, consistent development for a predictable flat fee, from one person who knows your codebase, your business, and your history. There's no rotating cast and no meter running.
How It Works
Simple, predictable, and built so you're never blocked and never overcharged.
Queue up your work
You add requests to a shared board: a feature, a fix, a page, or a defined change. Queue as many as you like. Reprioritize anytime. Your backlog is always yours to shape.
One active request at a time
I work one request to completion, then pull the next. That keeps the focus high and the quality consistent, instead of a half-dozen things all moving an inch at a time. Big initiatives get split into a sequence of smaller requests.
Steady weekly delivery
You'll see progress at least once a week, and most requests wrap up in one to two weeks depending on size. The pace is steady and dependable, which leaves room to build things properly and test them before they ship.
Pause or cancel when you need
If your backlog runs dry, pause the month and pick back up when you're ready. It's month-to-month after the first month, with 30 days' notice. No long contract to sign, and nothing that penalizes you for outgrowing it.
How we work together: requests, updates, and sign-off happen on a shared board, with email for everything else. You'll get a reply within one business day, and there's an optional short weekly call if you want a regular touchpoint. No need to live in a chat app.

The Real Comparison
Don't measure it in dollars per hour. Measure it against the options you're actually choosing between.
Senior contractor
$100–175/hr
Metered, transactional, gone when the hours run out.
Full-time senior hire
$12k–18k/mo
Fully loaded, months to hire, hard to unwind.
This partnership
$5k/mo
Senior judgment and continuity, at the efficient price.
You get senior, strategic development backed by 25 years of experience, plus the continuity of someone who already knows your codebase, for a fraction of a full-time hire. This is the efficient option versus hiring, not the cheap option versus freelancers.
Questions
What counts as a "request"? +
A defined chunk of work: a feature, a fix, a page, or a specific change. It's scoped by outcome rather than by hours. Larger initiatives like a full MVP get broken into a sequence of requests that move through the queue one at a time, so the work stays clear and shippable as you go.
How fast will things get done? +
You'll see progress at least once a week, and most requests wrap up in one to two weeks depending on size. The cadence is dependable rather than same-day, and that's on purpose. It leaves room for tested, well-built work instead of something rushed.
What if I have a huge project, not little tasks? +
That's a good fit for this. I break it into a sequence of requests and work through them one at a time, in the priority you set. You get steady, visible momentum toward the big goal without a giant fixed-bid quote or a scope that runs away from you.
Can I really pause or cancel anytime? +
Yes. After a non-refundable first month, it's month-to-month with 30 days' notice to pause or cancel. If your backlog empties out, pause and pick back up when you're ready. There are no long contracts, and nothing that penalizes you for outgrowing it.
Do I own the code and the work? +
Completely. Everything I build for you during the partnership is yours, and yours alone. Your codebase stays isolated: nothing from your project is reused in or merged into anyone else's work, and nothing of theirs flows into yours. There's no lock-in. If we ever part ways, you keep all of it with a clean handoff.
Let's see if it's a fit.
Tell me a bit about your codebase and what you're trying to get done. If it's a good fit, we can start with a two-week sprint and go from there. If it isn't, I'll say so and try to point you somewhere better.
